Detailed Billing, Remote Management, Reliability, Access, Scanning
PrinterWorks was contacted by Rogers Group Financial (RGF) when they became tired of the ongoing service problems that they were having with their aging print and copy equipment. RGF maintained two large photocopier machines that absorbed all of the firm’s various print and copy requirements. Although centrally located, the machines were inconvenient as they were located too far away from some key advisors, and the service problems were escalating. It became immediately evident that the “old” way of doing business was not going to work anymore. PrinterWorks implemented a distributed print/MFP system that brought functionality such as print, copy, and scan closer to the users, while increasing their service levels, all at a cost that was less than what they were paying before:
It was important for RGF to receive monthly reports detailing the total print volume associated with each Financial Advisor and their groups. By using the PrinterWorks detailed billing reports, RGF now receives one invoice accompanied by one report breaking down colour versus black/white usage by team and by advisor. In addition, RGF now receives just one blended cost per page for any print or copy job they create, thus making it easier to budget for future expenditures, or growth.
All of RGF products are now serviced under one master service level agreement. RGF now can rest assured that all of their imaging fleet is serviced in the same four hour response time, regardless if it’s a photocopier, MFP, or printer.
The centralized model did not work for RGF. In essence, their advisors were made to walk across the entire office to retrieve a print job or to make a scan or copy only to find the device broken when they got to it, or mixed in with other people’s work. PrinterWorks designed a system to bring MFP products closer to the workgroups, and actually spreading the load over multiple devices. By distributing the print/MFP environment in this fashion, RGF advisors can stay more productive and efficient.
“The PrinterWorks MPS system integrates seamlessly with our RGF internal billing systems. In addition, it has made our advisors more productive by bringing technology closer to the users”
